Meet 3 of Our Recent Web Developer Participants

Web Developer Graduates
Our Web Developer Boot Camp participants come from all different backgrounds. Some have experience in the technology field, while others don't, but by the end of the program everyone is fully prepared to succeed in web development. Meet some of our recent participants and learn more about the paths that led them to this in-demand field.

Brad Sprung

Brad Sprung

Brad has worked as a graphic designer, mostly for print publications, for the past 10 years. He felt that learning web development was a natural progression from his previous career, so he decided to enroll in our web developer boot camp earlier this year. Brad uses his portfolio site to demonstrate his graphic design knowledge, as well as his new web development skills. If you want to know your future, look no further than his Alien Oracle of Delphi game, which acts as a virtual Magic 8 ball. Simply type a question and the Alien Oracle will provide an answer. Brad is currently interning with OneClickMed, a global medical community.

Brady Benner

Brady Benner

Brady has worked with computers for about 25 years, learning through academic courses and on his own. In 2008, he earned bachelor’s degree in computer science but had difficulty finding a job in the field. Being out of the technology industry since then, Brady knew he needed some kind of refresher to help him re-enter the field, which is why he joined this boot camp. Brady, a big fan of JavaScript, describes his web development style as “function over form.” While the design of his portfolio looks fairly basic, the code required to make it function is quite complex. This complexity is evident in his calculator, his role-playing game Infinite Crawl, and his shuttle game made in collaboration with Majed Badra. Brady is currently interning with Pinnacle Transplant Technologies, a regenerative medical company.

Majed Badra

Majed Badra

Majed’s career has always been a combination of science and art. He earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and spent many years in management, while also working as a cartoonist. He hopes to incorporate these two elements into his new career as a web developer as well, which is evident in his portfolio site. His site includes several of his illustrations, a clock, as well as the “Escape the Black Hole” game he created with Brady. Majed is currently interning with Medicoventures.
