Boot Camp Details

Along with the technical Microsoft Excel skills, the following workforce skills will also be integrated:

  • Demonstrate good use of time management
  • Use leadership skills in project completions
  • Demonstrate critical and creative thinking when graphing using Excel
  • Complete projects in a professional manner to show competence, reliability, and respectfulness

This boot camp is for individuals who have little to no experience with Microsoft Excel. In this class, you'll learn how to load and set up the spreadsheet program; create a properly formatted worksheet file; build a template using labels, numbers, and formulas; enter, delete, and alter spreadsheet data; save a spreadsheet and retrieve it; print a spreadsheet; sort a spreadsheet in a variety of ways; and create and print a graph. You'll also learn how to: organize a problem for solution with spreadsheet templates; apply the principles of effective worksheet and database layout; create and use simple spreadsheet macros; use the spreadsheet's database techniques to locate, link, extract, and combine data from multiple spreadsheets; and more!
