About the Presenter: Michelle Jaramillo
Michelle Jaramillo is a communications and narrative change consultant. She works with a diversity of clients to help organizations use the power of story, paired with research and evidenced-based messaging, to move people’s hearts and minds around issues that impact all of us.
Previously, Michelle served as Director of Communications and Narrative Strategy for Partners for Progress, a nonprofit working to strengthen democracy in San Diego County. Prior to that she served as Community Impact Director for The San Diego Foundation, where she developed and managed systems-change strategies to address the needs of the region. She has also served as Communications Director of the San Diego Housing Federation, and as Director of Communications and Programs for the U.S. – Mexico Border Philanthropy Partnership.
Michelle is a co-founder and past chair of the Latina Giving Circle of San Diego, a co-founder and chair of the San Diego Chapter of Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy, a 2014 graduate of Hispanas Organized for Political Equality Leadership Institute and The Funders Network 2016 PLACES Fellow. She has B.A. in Political Science and Latin American Studies from the University of Toronto and a Master of Arts in Nonprofit Leadership and Management at the University of San Diego.
