“I am pleased that Eugene Giovannini has accepted our invitation to join the NACCE Board of Directors,” said Dr. Edwin Massey, chairman of the NACCE board and president of Indian River State College in Fort Pierce, Florida. “He brings insight and a great deal of experience to the fast-paced world of entrepreneurship development at our community colleges.”

NACCE’s programs and services highlight those opportunities so that they can be replicated to benefit students and communities. It’s a privilege to be a part of this dynamic organization.” 

Dr. Giovannini has been president of Maricopa Corporate College since July, 2013. MCOR is a new institution established by the Maricopa Community College District to provide market-relevant, customized training and educational programs for local, national and/or international business and industry. MCOR engages employers and industry associations to assess and deliver custom workforce solutions to close the skills gap. MCOR also oversees all District entrepreneurial activities and initiatives including the Center for Entrepreneurial Innovation (CEI) and Fahrenheit Labs Student Incubator.  Prior to launching MCOR, Dr. Giovannini served as president of GateWay Community College in Phoenix, Arizona. His previous positions also included Vice President at Burlington County College in Pemberton, New Jersey, for seven years. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Association of Community Colleges
