AutoCAD 2015 with AutoCAD 3D

In this online program, you’ll master basic and advanced 2D and 3D design skills, while gaining hands-on experience using AutoCAD® 2015. You’ll begin by exploring basic 2D tools, then will progress to explore efficiency tools, complex objects, use of external reference and image files, advanced plotting, and customizations.

Once proficient with 2D commands in AutoCAD 2015, you’ll learn methods of 3D modeling and gain thorough knowledge in 3D fundamentals while exploring the main features of the advanced 3D modeling workspace.

This program uses Autodesk certified curriculum and will teach you the skills needed for the Autodesk AutoCAD 2015 Certified Professional Exam.

The AutoCAD 2015 with AutoCAD 3D program combines two programs, allowing you to learn both AutoCAD’s 2D and 3D functionality. You will begin by learning the software’s interface and 2D functionality.  You will create and edit simple drawings, gradually learning more advanced tools.

Once you master the basic skills, you’ll move on to explore efficiency tools, complex objects, using external reference and image files, advanced plotting, and enhancing productivity with simple customization. Once the AutoCAD 2015 part of the program is successfully completed, you will begin the AutoCAD 3D portion. This portion will introduce you to the concepts and methods of 3D modeling. It will teach you 3D fundamentals and allow you to explore the main features within the advanced 3D modeling workspace.

The online content with this program is focused on having students complete hands-on exercises which require students to use their installed software and files to learn and practice their new skills. All examples and exercises are taken from real-world industries where AutoCAD is currently used.

As a student, you can download a free version of the AutoCAD 2015 software that provides a 3-year student version license. Please note that ed2go cannot extend the software license for AutoCAD 2015. The AutoCAD 2015 student software license cannot be used in a commercial environment.

Once you have completed the AutoCAD 2015 portion of the Online Training Program you will have learned the AutoCAD functionality that is required for the Autodesk AutoCAD 2015 Certified Professional exam. Please note, knowledge of AutoCAD’s 3D tools are not required for this exam.

Once you have completed your AutoCAD 2015 program, you will have learned the skills required to become an Autodesk AutoCAD 2015 Certified Professional* and User. A free exam voucher for the Autodesk AutoCAD 2015 Certified User exam will be provided to you upon successful completion of the program.

Actual hands-on experience is a critical component in preparing for the exam. You should practice using the product and the skills learned from this program. Successfully completing this program, plus 50 hours of hands-on application are recommended prior to taking the Certified User exam.

*For the Certified Professional Exam, an additional 400 hours of hands-on experience outside of this program is strongly recommended.

When you register, you’ll receive nine (9) months to complete the program.
