CCNA: Routing and Switching (Voucher Included)

Cisco CCNA certification training provides in-depth, hands-on instruction in routed and switched LAN emulation networks made up of Cisco equipment. This program is designed to give you the essential knowledge to install, configure, and operate a small enterprise branch network, including basic network security.

In this program you will also have the opportunity to practice the principles taught in a virtual, interactive lab.

Upon completion of the program, you will receive a voucher to take the 200-125 CCNA certifying exam.

The CCNA certification indicates a professional level of knowledge and a foundation in basic networking. This program incorporates the objectives for the Cisco CCNA exam, focusing on giving you the skills and knowledge necessary to install, operate, and troubleshoot a small and medium branch office Enterprise network, including operating IP Data Networks, LAN Switching Technologies, IP Addressing, IP Routing Technologies, IP Services such as DHCP, NAT, ACLs, FHRP, Syslog, SNMP v2/v3, Network Device Security, Troubleshooting and WAN Technologies. A student should be able to complete configuration and implementation of a small branch office network under supervision.

This program provides online tutorials, practice questions, online labs (using real Cisco equipment), and a mentor to answer any questions you may have pertaining to the curriculum and program completion.

Upon successful completion of this program, you’ll be prepared to sit for either the 200-125 CCNA exam or the 100-105 ICND1 and 200-105 ICND2 exams. Your registration fee will include a voucher to take the 200-125 CCNA certifying exam.

This program is entirely online and is completed at your own pace. When you register, you receive six (6) months to complete this program.

This program is compatible with the Windows 7 and later operating systems and all current Internet browsers.

This program can be taken on either a PC or Mac device. Mac users are encouraged to have access to a Windows environment on their device. You'll need to have email capabilities.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course, but we recommend that students have experience working in a network environment. Individuals without 1-3 years of networking experience are advised to consider first completing a course like CompTIA Network+ or CompTIA A+ before taking the CCNA Certification Training course.

David brings over 10 years experience in IT, education, instruction, curriculum design, combined with extensive management and leadership experience in the private and non-profit sectors. His passion for technology and education has led David to work as an academic dean, student services director, technology coordinator, teacher, consultant, and technology columnist and blogger.

David holds a Master of Education and a Bachelor of Science, both in Technology Education, from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. In addition, he has earned IT industry certifications and has been published in a book on gamification in the classroom.

Aaron Appleby. Aaron brings over 10 years experience in technology and technology-related instructional design, teaching and tutoring. His experience includes instructional design and curriculum development for Loyola University Medical Center, DeVry University, as well as corporate training clients.

Aaron holds a Master of Science Education in Learning Design and Technology, from Purdue University, in West Lafayette, Indiana; and a Bachelor of Science in Integrative Biology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, in Champaign, Illinois.
