Our Bookkeeping program, offered in partnership with Maricopa County, provides you with practical skills and an industry-recognized certification to prepare you for entry-level bookkeeping roles at no cost to you! You will gain the skills needed to confidently use QuickBooks Online to organize business finances and save time with this powerful tool. The program focuses on foundational bookkeeping and accounting principles, including the types of financial information business owners, managers, bookkeepers, and accountants need to monitor. Upon successful completion of this course, you will be prepared to earn the following certification:

Preparing for a Career in Bookkeeping

Master QuickBooks Online to prepare for a rewarding career in the bookkeeping field. You will learn basic bookkeeping and accounting principles, including the types of accounting information you, the business owner, manager, bookkeeper, or accountant, need to monitor. You'll then put all those principles into practice using QuickBooks Online to enter and track your finances with ease. With this online version, you get all the advantages of computing in the cloud so that your files will be available to you virtually anytime, anywhere.

Bookkeepers typically work in office settings during standard business hours and spend much of their time working on a computer. While many work independently, they may collaborate with others in accounting-related roles, and some positions offer the flexibility to work remotely for one or more organizations.

Classes have already started in all locations. Future dates and locations are TBD.

The Bookkeeping program is offered in-person over 11 weeks in the following communities. 

Buckeye

Job Outlook

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, there are a lot of jobs for bookkeepers, and the job outlook is expected to remain relatively constant through 2026. Understanding how to efficiently use bookkeeping software like QuickBooks will make you a more desirable candidate as more and more businesses turn to technology to perform basic accounting tasks.
