The 2021 Skilled Trades Expo brings together business and industry professionals, students, and the community to learn and share important information about job training and education and employment opportunities targeted at the skilled trades, including Energy, Construction, Advanced Manufacturing, and Distribution.
Curious about the dynamic and rewarding careers in the Skilled Trades?
We are excited to share that the event has expanded this year! Due to the current pandemic situation, we will host the Skilled Trades Expo in a virtual environment. This allows us to partner with other educational institutions and community organizations to spread the word about training and employment opportunities around the state of Arizona. Estrella Mountain Community College along with Mesa Community College, Central Arizona College, Pima Community College, Maricopa Corporate College, the Greater Phoenix Chamber Foundation, and WESTMARC will host the virtual event to present about possibilities in the skilled trades.
For Business: You will share opportunities with your company, highlight the availability of jobs, conduct interviews, and learn creative ways to reach the workforce pipeline through apprenticeships and PipelineAZ.
For Students (Prospective and Current): You will hear about educational offerings at the local community colleges to prepare you for jobs in these dynamic and fast-growing fields. You can attend sessions from business and industry to hear what it’s like to work at their organization and the skills you need. You will also be able to create a PipelineAZ account that connects you with employers looking to hire interns, apprentices, PT, and FT employees.
The event will include sessions allowing you to:
- Meet with specific skilled trades company representatives and hear more about their organizations
- Get help updating your resume and preparing for an interview
- Hear information about training and educational programs available for students
- Attend live panel presentations from current and former students
